We design and build software around the way your organisation actually works: internal systems, operational tools and platforms that replace manual handling, spreadsheets and disconnected apps.

Bespoke business applications, internal systems and operational tools.

The spreadsheet has become the system

Critical work runs through shared spreadsheets, email chains and copy-paste. It works until it doesn't, and only one person knows how.

Off-the-shelf almost fits

You pay for a product that covers 70% of the job and work around the rest. Custom software fits the process instead of bending the process to the product.

Too many tools that don't talk

Bookings, invoicing, CRM and reporting each live in their own system. We connect them, or replace them with one that does the whole job.

You're growing past manual work

More staff, clients or locations means the old way doesn't scale. Software lets the same team handle more without adding admin.

Every project is scoped individually. These are the pieces most custom software projects are made of.

  • Internal business systems

Job, case, asset and workflow management built around your process, with the right access for each role.

  • Operational tools

Scheduling, rostering, quoting, inspections and approvals that take the manual steps out of daily operations.

  • Custom platforms

Multi-user platforms with accounts, roles, admin tools and reporting, built to grow with the organisation.

  • Integrations and automation

Systems connected through APIs and webhooks, so data moves between them without anyone re-typing it.

  • Reporting and dashboards

Live views of the numbers that matter, drawn from your own data instead of a weekly export.

  • Legacy replacement

Rebuilding ageing internal tools on a maintainable modern stack, migrating the data without disrupting the business.

  1. 01

    Discover

We map how the work happens today: who does what, where the data lives, what breaks and what it costs. You get a written scope with the problem, the users and roles, and what version one must do.

  2. 02

    Architect

Data model, roles and permissions, integrations and hosting are decided before any screens are built, so the system holds up as it grows. Decisions are written down so they're never trapped in one person's head.

  3. 03

    Build

Delivered in working increments on a staging environment you can log into, not a big reveal at the end. Each stage is tested against the scope before the next one starts.

  4. 04

    Run

We deploy, monitor, back up and maintain what we build, and stay on hand for changes. The same team that built the system looks after it.

How much does custom software cost?

It depends on the users, roles, integrations and how much the first version needs to do, so every project is scoped individually. After a discovery conversation you get a written scope and a fixed quote for the agreed version, before any build work starts.

How long does a custom software project take?

Smaller internal tools can be live within weeks. Larger multi-role platforms are delivered in stages over a few months. We agree on a first version that delivers value early, then build on it.

Who owns the software and the code?

Ownership is set out in writing before the project starts. The intent is that you're never locked in: the code, data and documentation are handed over so the system can be maintained.

Do you work with government and larger organisations?

Yes. Aurek has delivered work for government clients as well as private businesses, and we're comfortable with formal scoping, documentation and approval processes.

Do we need to be in Canberra?

No. We're based in Canberra and enjoy meeting local clients in person, but we work with organisations across Australia.

Have a custom software project in mind?

Send a short brief. We'll come back with questions, an honest view of what fits, and a fixed quote once it's scoped.
